4/16/2008As many of you who attend our monthly meetings know, we often see presenters speak about the emerging strategic role of HR.
I am relatively new to the field, and my question to you is this: what are my the chances that I am going to be hired as an HR professional in an orgainization who views us as a valuable strategic resource? ? 2/28/2008We're looking for a responsible person to work as a payroll administrator in our dealership. In this challenging role you'll be responsible for processing our dealership's payroll and help perform a variety of administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:

Process dealership payroll in an accurate and timely manner
-
Assist in administering employees benefits (health insurance, life insurance, etc.), help track vacation and sick time for dealership employees

Update and maintain all employee-related records and paperwork (new hire forms, resignations, etc.)

401K Administrative Reporting
-
Other administratiove duties as needed
Requirements
-
Previous administrative experience in an auto dealership office enviroment preferred

Strong attention to detail, working knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excell, etc.)

High School Diploma or GED required
-
Previous experience with PPS/Proxus Web based payroll software

11/1/2007Does anyone in our membership have experience with matrix organizations?
The S/PHR Study Group is having some difficulty distinguishing these from the divisional type of organization.
Both include dual reporting.
Any help would be appreciated by the group. Sherry Tomlinson
